A Dinner to Remember...and a lunch !

Florence is such an amazing city...we totally enjoyed our stay here...not to mention the food !   One of our lunches was at a very small osteria named Vini e Vecchi Sapori, meaning Wines and Old Flavors, which was recommended to us by our friend Don in Buffalo before we left town.  The place was tiny...only a few tables...and as you can see from the sign it's very particular...no ice, no steak, no pizza, no take away...just amazing food...

Our meals were excellent...potato filled ravioli in cream sauce and pappardelle pasta with duck...oh my !
For dinner the next night, we went to a highly recommended place called Trattoria  Pandemonio...known for the bistecca alla fiorentina...unbelievable !
obviously enough for two people...or more !
After dinner the waiter brought us some of their homemade limoncello...I mentioned to him that we were on our 46th wedding anniversary trip (of course !)  Before we knew what was happening, the lights went out, the wedding march started playing on the speaker system, and we had a huge sparkling candle in cheesecake in front of us...everyone in the place started applauding, and Mama came out and gave us big hugs...too much !
After that adventure, we strolled back to our B&B and caught a glimpse of the beautiful Ponte Vecchio...what an evening in Firenze !!
