Super Bowl Sunday was spent watching the big screen with Mike and Chelsea in their apartment...New York pizza, Shake Shack burgers...yum !
On Monday, it was time to go to JFK for our flight to Milan. We were originally booked on American Airlines with a stop in London...but...the airlines released more business class seats that morning, so we were able to re-book on the direct flight...woohoo ! We had used credit card points, so this flight was free...my favorite kind ! We also had access to the Admiral's Club at JFK, so free drinks and snacks sustained us while we waited to leave. The lie flat seats were very, very nice and the amenities were a plus. Even the food was good ! I had salmon and rice and Joe had a fillet that was yummy...

Business Class...nothing like it ... although the Samsung notepads they give everyone seem to have some glitches, we spent a few quality sleep hours in the lie flat seats...

We landed in Milan at about 9:30am...no matter how well you're able to sleep on the plane, it's still a long, tiring flight...but we're in Italy, so who cares ??
